Annie’s dog has “1st Dan” potential

Double success for Andover trainer Annie Buckley has already proved that her Labrador, Dan, has potential to deliver a knockout blow to other competitors this season – possibly becoming the "1st Dan" of the doggy world.
Annie and Dan Scurry Training Annie, head trainer at the Mullenscote Dog Training Centre at Quarley, won the Open Multi Scurry Class at Thoresby Park, Nottingham, and has since gone on to win another qualifier at Thame.

The Nottingham win immediately qualified Annie and Dan for the final, to be held in September at the Game and Country Fair at Sandringham, the Queen’s Norfolk country home.

“Dan was fantastic in the first competition,” said Annie. “I am just so pleased and the second success shows he has true potential and is more than capable of consistent performances.

“Some of the best scurry dogs in the country are in the competition and this is only Dan’s first season running in the Open class yet he is beating some of the recognised top dogs by a good margin.

“He has also gone onto win two fifth places out of 40 entrants in gun dog working tests so this is going to be an exciting season.”

Annie will continue competing during the rest of the season and she promises Dan’s competitors will have hard task to stop him being top dog come September.
